You can spend up to $55k CAD for a 370z. Granted, this one here is $50k (the convertible is more expensive). Also, according to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , 2084 have been sold so far this year in the US and 378 in Canada. I’m curious why these people went Nissan over anything else.

My guess is that they had a Z car in the 80s or 90s.

I don’t even think the 370Z is a particularly bad car, but if it were my money it’s probably the last sporty car on the new market right now that I’d buy.

A used one, sure, I could go for that. Nothing wrong with it. But new? Not a chance.

If you’ve got 30k and a BRZ isn’t fast enough, and you don’t want a 190 inch pony car, well...

I’m no baruth fan but I would not be surprised if he is right that as soon as the next one comes out and it has a turbo 4 and it costs $5,000 more, everyone is going to wax poetically about how great the primitive, 330hp, 3300 pound, naturally aspirated, hydraulic steering 370z was.

I don’t think I would buy one used either. It just does nothing for me.

This is my coworker, he bought a Nismo 370. It rocks and I think ended up paying around 36 for one with <1k miles. Used to have a 300ZX and a 280Z.

Honestly, I love how they look. I don’t care that it’s a bit slower than other “sporty” cars that I’m never going to take on a track anyway.

I secretly want my wife to get one so that I can keep my 328i sedan and have a two door/ two seat car for when it’s just us going somewhere and a sedan for when it’s a night out with some friends and I’ve got to taxi people around.

I like Zs. I’ve owned several. I’m wearing a Z shirt. I’m inclined to defend. Here goes

The car’s been around 8 years. It launched into an uncertain world - it was the only Japanese sports car car for too long. The S2000 died the year of its birth. It’s been fighting in a dead market and it’s at the end of its life. As I said the Zs have long been unpopular with children but popular with buyers , far outselling every competitor it had in the 90s - the 370Z keeps to those strengths even if it’s not going to please armchair critics.

Don’t hate it.

Besides, I still think the 350 and 370Zs are a huge step down from this.

Which is almost 30 years old, so that’s saying something.
